The Great British Teddy Bear Historical Characters

Highlander
The Great British Teddy Bear Company create fantastic teddy bears with great attention to detail.
These wonderful bears make perfect gifts for all sorts of occasions, there is a bear to suit everybody!

At Rachel's Bears we have some classic British Characters, take a walk through British history with The Great British Teddy Bear Company and their classic British Icons.

Highlander, Inspired by Rob Roy is a very smart Bear, he sits at 31cm tall looking splendid in his kilt and clan sash.


Highlander wears a  leatherette belt and sporran that fasten above his kilt.
His clan sash is fastened with a pewter brooch and drapes across his cotton shirt. This handsome bear also wears a traditional Tam O'Shanta hat finished with a blue pom pom.



Florence Nightingale
The lady with the lamp, Florence Nightingale has also been expertly crafted into a Great British Teddy Bear Character, Florence Nightingale.
This Teddy Bear Florence comes with her famous lamp and wears a  crisp clean, uniform.
Dressed in a blue and white gingham dress with white high collar and pearl-look buttons with a white apron and cap.
This gorgeous bear also carries a khaki canvas holdall containing three bandages. Florence is made from golden brown plush fur, with beige paw pads, black hand-stitched nose and mouth with shiny black eyes.
Shakespeare

In his finest attire, we bring you Shakespeare Bear from The Great British Teddy Bear Company.
He is 36cm tall and has three of his very own works or art tied in a bundles and held in his little plush paws.
If you look closely, you'll see the titles, Macbeth, Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet, bound safely in string.
The books are bound with unwritten pages so budding authors can write their own words.
Teddy Bear Shakespeare is wearing his famous black tabbard carefully trimmed with antique gold satin.
He wears removable clothing and Bards Ruff which can be hand washed with warm water.
Complete with his feather quill and his three favourite plays!
Shakespeare will arrive wearing his feather and his cap all dressed to impress ready to be loved for another generation.
